JROTC Program for Accreditation

JROTC Program for Accreditation
Carter JROTC has received Honors Unit with Distinction (HUD) for the 25th year.
On Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, the Carter JROTC program went through a JPA (JROTC Program for Accreditation) visit. As an accredited Special Purpose Program, JROTC must adhere to AdvancED's Standard for Quality. The Army conducts this inspection every three years for every JROTC program. However, the Director of Army Instruction for Dallas ISD conducts an annual review of all JROTC programs. There are 6 main sections of the evaluation: an in-ranks uniform inspection of all cadets, Drill team and Color Guard performance, a cadet interview of 10 randomly selected cadets, an instructor interview, a briefing on the Cadet Service-Learning project, and a presentation of the Battalion Staff’s Continuous Improvement Project briefing.
At the end of the day, the battalion was presented with their score, and received the highest award possible for their efforts, Honor Unit with Distinction, which is the highest rating an Army High School JROTC program can receive. An incredibly special thanks to every cadet and all those who support them as well as the program. Without their hard work and effort over the past year, none of this would have been possible.
